DOCUMENTS AND VISA

WEATHER

Zagreb has a continental climate with usually warm and dry weather in August. Average daily temperatures range from 22 to 27°C

TIME ZONE

GMT + one hour (during summer GMT + two hours).

CURRENCY AND EXCHANGE

Croatian currency is the Croatian Kuna (KN). Currency can be exchanged at all local banks and exchange points.

ELECTRICITY

Electrical appliances operate at 220 V, 50Hz. Electric plugs are of the twin round-pinned type common in Europe. Foreign appliances could require an adapter.

MOBILE PHONES

Mobile phones system in Croatia is GSM. Contact your provider at home before leaving if the system used in your country is a different one.

SHOPPING

Most shops are open from 8.00 to 20.00 on weekdays and 8.00-15.00 on Saturdays. Major shopping malls are open also on Saturdays and Sundays 8.00-21.00. Tourist whose purchases exceed Kn 500 may claim a PDV (VAT) return for all goods except petroleum products when living the country with TAX CHEQUE receipts verified by the Croatian Customs Office.
